Chris John

Yohannes Christian John, or better known as Chris John was born September 14, 1979, born in Semarang.  Chris John is the second son of four children from the couple Johan Tjahjadi (aka Tjia Foek Sem) and Maria Warsini. Johan Tjahjadi, a former amateur boxer, introduced the world of boxing to Chris John and his younger brother Adrian when they were 5 years old. After competing in several amateur championships in Banjarnegara, Chris John was recruited by a well-known boxing coach, Sutan Rambing, in Semarang. Since childhood, Chris John also practiced martial arts Wushu. It's been almost a decade since the Indonesian boxing champion, Chris John, decided to hang up his boxing gloves. After undergoing his 52nd fight, The Dragon decided to retire from the sport that had made his name. With a cold and deadly character in the ring, the legacy of this boxer from Banjarnegara is certain to continue to represent his name as the nation's best legend.
